Corrosion inhibitors will be the leading product category followed by organic flocculants and scale inhibitors.  All of these chemicals are being consumed in much larger numbers in China as it expands its coal-fired boiler capacity by 30,000 MW/year. The U.S. fleet is 300,000 MW. China is increasing its coal-fired boiler chemical purchases over the next five years by an amount equivalent to 50 percent of the entire U.S. purchases. By 2020 chemical purchases for coal-fired boilers in China will be 300 percent of the U.S. volume.
